HOCKEY IS COMING BACK!

Hi all my cool people! The moment we have all been waiting for… HOCKEY IS BACK. I am pumped that hockey will be back soon and I can watch my boys play again. Its cool that Edmonton has been picked to be one of the locations for hockey to start back up.

I am very very very excited for the hockey season to start again. I have really missed going to the live games and seeing our oilers players score on the other team. I miss the energy and excitement at Rogers Place during hockey games. Even though I wont be able to watch the games in the stands I am still very excited that hockey is finally coming back. I will just have to pretend I am surrounded by cheering fans but I am really sitting at home on my couch. 

I like following along with all the teams and keeping track of the scoreboard to know what the standings are for each team. I like to go over all the stats and keep and eye on what teams are the best. So I am looking forward to making my new roster and staying on top of which teams are doing the best. 

When the games were first canceled I went back to old games and watched them again just to still watch some hockey. Connor McDavid has had some amazing plays over the years that I have been re watching. One of my favourites was when he scored his very first hat trick against the Colorado Avalanches. I cant wait for more awesome moves and games now that hockey is back. 

NEWS:

They started to enter phase 3 of returning to play on July 10th. 

The playoffs are set to start July 30th after two week training camps and exhibition games.

They will start qualifying round games on August 1st 

Two favourite moments from past NHL seasons: 

1. When Connor McDavid got his first penalty shot in the playoffs against the Flames. The goalie was Mike Smith and everyone was pumped when Connor got the goal. 

2. Before Mike Smith signed with the Oilers him and former Oiler goalie Cam Talbot got in a brutal fight. The battle of Alberta and that game was over the top most rowdy game. Dont see goalies fight often so it was a crazy thing to watch. There were lots of other fights that game but that one for sure was the best. It was awesome. Thats the type of hockey I want to see at Rogers Place. RAISING HELL.

My Job At Sagiper North America

This past month was my one year anniversary at my amazing job. I am a warehouse coordinator for Sagiper North America! I have been working for Sagiper since June 2019. Time flies when you are having fun. I started as a seasonal employee but then I was such a key member of the team they offered me a full time position. 

When I interviewed for the job I was not nervous. They asked me some hard questions but I knew how to answer them all because I was mega prepared for the interview. After we talked for a while they took me on a tour of the warehouse and that’s when I met all my future co workers. 

I love working at Sagiper for many reasons. Having this full-time job at Sagiper has allowed me to start saving for my future. Hopefully one day I will be able to own my own home (that will have sagiper product covering the outside of my house). I love that I now have a work schedule that is consistent and a job that I can depend on. 

Also, my co workers have had a big impact on me. I really love who I work with. They are my dream team and we are like one big family. We have wing eating compilations and support each other to get our jobs done. I feel very welcome at Sagiper they are my dream team. 

Sagiper sells PVC siding for homes or business buildings. Some of my tasks at work are inspecting, labeling and making kits with samples of our product. I also help out with shipping and receiving. I sign off on shipping orders and unload or load the orders. I make sure the samples are cleaned and stacked nicely for customers to see the product so they can pick which samples they want to ship to other countries. I make sure the samples labeled and with their colour names and numbers. Also I help out with shipping orders and making lists of samples need to be cut. And also printing out labels for the samples. 

I haven’t been working at the office since the beginning of Covid but I cant wait to get back to work. I have been going on walks lots and seeing the Sagiper siding on lots of houses in my neighbourhood. I am so good I can even tell you what colours and types of siding are on those houses. I have memorized pretty much all of the products we sell at Sagiper and can recognize them from miles away. 

I wasn’t always such a rock star at remembering all of the product names. There are a lot of names to remember. It too me a bit to learn but I love that I now can fill out sample requests and know how their shipping and receiving system works. I hope to learn lots more. I want to use the miter saw to cut wood and the samples, I want to learn the computer program for adding in the details of orders and learn more about how to complete sample orders. 

I am really looking forward to getting back to work and keeping busy with all that has to be done at Sagiper. I am excited to work hard and to check on my work station. I am very clean and organized and so I am looking forward to restocking my station and getting it back to my standards if the guys have messed it all up. I also can’t wait to be back with my co-workers at the office. I miss being around those guys and joking with them while we get jobs done. 

I have learned lots from working at Sagiper and they have learned lots from me because I am such a clean and organized person. I brought to the table my amazing systems of how to organize things efficiently to get more work done in the day. I also bring raw energy and excitement to the team. We have had lots of laughs together and do more to be as a team. 

I want to work at Sagiper full time with my boys for as long as I can. My goal is to get better and better at my job and learn lots about other roles I could be doing.

2019 Highlights

Hi all my cool people! I hope you have been well and staying healthy. This year has been a crazy one already so I made a list of some of my favourite things that happened last year to remind myself of the good times! Woo hoo!

(not in any specific order)

#1 My trip to Maui

My trip to Maui was awesome! We went shopping very night in the city, we went out for dinner on some nights, the weather was hot i played underwater hockey and I learned puck handling my new skill. I also always bring back some chocolate covered nuts for my friends. I took lots pictures of the amazing sun sets. Who doesn’t love being on a beach, swimming in the ocean, drinking some drinks, reading a book by the pool. Wish I could be there now.

#2 Oilers game with Adam

Me and my good pal Adam we went to the oilers game against the Vegas Golden Knights. We went to Boston Pizza for fries and chicken wings we had a blast at the game. Sadly the Golden Knights beat the oilers and it was a very Important game to win for us to be in first place in the NHL Standings. The loss didn’t suck so much because I was having such a good time hanging out with my bearded brother Adam.

#3 My Birthday dinner with Sarah & My family

I celebrated my Birthday with my girlfriend  Sarah and all of my cousins. I had a couple of drinks for dinner we had steak shrimp and french fries and for desert was Chocolate Cheesecake. Then me and Sarah shared a kiss my cousins were in shock and my cousin mark called me The Real Deal. It was so fun to have her there and all my family to celebrate. I wish I could be eating a shrimp and steak meal with them right now.

 #4 Luke Combs Concert

I really loved that concert it was a sold out show we sang to every song he sang it was getting rowdy when he sang his song called beer never broke my heart the fans. I wanted to hear that song because that was Luke Comb’s very first time at Rogers Place. Can’t wait for more music to come out this year! Luke Combs is one of my boys.

#5 Dan and Shay Concert

Me and Nichole my cousin went to the concert and we had lots of fun. We sang your hearts out from that show and i got a shirt from. We kept the concert going on the way back home and we sang their hottest song in her car and it was called Tequila. It was very fun to be at that concert with my cousin being there with her was the best part.

#6 My trip to Seattle

We went to see three Blue Jays games! We won 2 games and lost the last game. We saw a streaker I wished to filmed that and that was funny. We had lots of junk food at the games my favourite snack was french fries with gluten free hot dog. Nothing better than eating junk food and watching some baseball.

#7 The making of the cabin

We finished our cabin in May! I was my dad’s handy man so I had to help with all the building. We started making the cabin from October and finished in May. I am very happy the cabin is finally done so I can spend all my free time up there relaxing and having fun. I play street hockey, have my junk food on Friday nights, go fishing with my dad and mom, I have BBQ steaks, play outside with Kona, go for boat rides, watch movies inside when its cold, do some hunting, and much more!

#8 Chad Brownlee Concert

Me and Sarah went to the concert at cook county bar. It was a private invite only concert and I think he did a awesome job at the show! The bar and fans were great we sang to all his famous songs my best song was the way you roll.

Top 3 Favourite Cities at Night

Hi all my people! This is a short blog post all about my favourite cities to be in at night time. I have gotten into doing some night photography and taking pictures of city skylines when its dark and all the lights from the buildings. These are not in any specific order. 

First up is Seattle! 

I have been to Seattle about 15 times. Just kidding I have been there lots but not quite 15 times. It’s my favourite place to watch some baseball. When we are not sitting in the stands watching baseball I like to walk around the city and take pictures at night. I like being able to see the stars and moon. Something that’s not really dark but is cool is looking at the fireworks at the baseball games. We have been there so many times we have gone on the famous ferris wheel a couple of times. Its a cool way to see the city. When we are not watching baseball, taking pictures, going on the ferris wheel we are eating at some of the good restaurants of Seattle. Love the seafood pasta there. I could eat a whole bowl right now. 

Next is Hawaii! 

Hawaii is not a bad place to take some outstanding sunset pictures on the beach. I love Hawaii at night because I can take some awesome pictures but also I enjoy the cold for a bit when I get a sunburn. When the sun goes down its BBQ time. Its nice to eat dinner during the sunset. Also when it gets dark I like swimming in the pool at night. No swimming in the ocean at night. No sir e bob. I will stick to the pool swimming at night time. 

Last is Australia!

I love Australia even though you have to be careful of the large snakes and spiders. The only time I like seeing creatures in Australia is at the zoo. When I am not busy avoiding being killed by snakes or spiders I like taking pictures of the city skyline. Its a great place to take cit pictures at night. Thats when my brother Dylan showed me the best way to take pictures during the night. Perth has many pretty lights at night.

Hello my cool people. Welcome back to another blog post. This blog post is about some of my favourite songs from some of my favourite country musicians. Staying Home

Hey all my people! I hope you are healthy and happy at home.

Things are getting pretty crazy out there. Things are hard but its been important to stay inside. I stay home to stay healthy and make sure I can keep everyone else healthy by not spreading the virus. Keeping distance from other people is not my strong suit. I love being around my friends and giving people big hugs. But I know by staying home now means we can all go out again and be all together sooner. I am a master at disinfecting things like doorknobs and groceries now. I will have all these good cleaning habits for life now. No more getting sick ever for me since I wash my hands all day every day now.

Keeping a daily routine has been very important for me. I know what to expect and it helps me enjoy my days more. Heres roughly what my days look like right now…

• In the morning have my pills

• Every morning go downstairs for my monster workout

• Then go upstairs for an extreme hot shower

• Breakfast time means I have my waffle 

• At 12:00 have lunch

• At 3.30 walk Kona -she puts the leash in her mouth and it looks like she is walking herself 

  In between breakfast and lunch and between lunch and my walk I get some of these things checked off my list

• Facetime friends

• Do blog posts / add posts on Instagram

• Making hottest country playlist

• Making oilers roster for fun

• Reading books 

• Shredding on my Guitar / practicing on Facetime with my Guitar teacher Ian 

• And listening to CISN country the morning show to download tunes on my phone 

• Cleaning the house- I like vacuuming the best

• Practice my master baking skills

• Helping my dad around the house- fixing things- sanding, nailing stuff

• Making and eating dinner happens around 6

• Then I end my day by going to the hot tub with my dad

My day is in three parts separated by eating food. Food keeps my schedule in order.

Now with all this time at home I hope to master the art of cooking. I want be able to make my girlfriend and friends feasts when they come over to my place when I move out. Dinner parties for everyone. Since I am not working right now and staying home I want to learn how to operate the miter saw so I can cut the pvc at Sagiper when I can work again. I also want to paint more while I have the time. I have done some water colour classes before but I wan to get back into soft pastels. I did lots of art with soft pastels when I was in high school art class but its been a long long time and want to see if I am still any good. I also have wanted to get a bike and start riding that more.

Christmas 2019 & New Year 2020

Hey all my people! New blog post about my Christmas and New Year. Some awesome photos some funny stories so lets do it.

Christmas always is filled with the good stuff, people and food. My favourite part about the holiday time is spending time with my family and my girlfriends Sarah and unwrapping the presents. And most important having some awesome food. Cant forget about play games with my family also. I am the best at all the games in all the world. Next year family you might be able to beat me if you keep practicing all year long.

Christmas is just filled with doing all the fun things with all the fun people in your life. I went bowling with my family and girlfriend. We played some cards against humanity (always gets weird fast which means funny fast). We went in the hot tub and jammed out to Keith Urban tunes, sining loudly in the hot tub is always a good time. Decorating the tree this year was me and my dad. Didnt break any of the ordainments so didnt ruin Christmas (phew). We also did some puzzling. We take the art of puzzling very seriously. It takes years of hard work and dedication to be able to master the puzzling technique. Me and my cousins went on a sleigh ride through candy cane lane to check out some pretty houses and lights. I also had a hair cut on Christmas day, very important to look your best with a fresh cut on Christmas.

Christmas dinner looks like this… we set up the table all fancy with candles and crackers (the things you pop open not the things you put cheese on). We then all sit around the table and open our crackers. Next put on those ridiculous hats on our heads. Why are they so cool and so not cool at the same time? We then read the jokes that come out of the crackers. Some of them are really funny some of them are not funny at all. Next up we all hold hands and say what we are thankful for. Best part next… we EAT and eat and eat. Its always awesome food like turkey, ham, cheese potatoes. And for dessert cheesecake, ice cream, and my moms world famous chocolate turtles.

Christmas is special to me because it reminds me of the good times growing up when me and Dylan were kids. Me and my bro would make snow angels. I miss having him around for Christmas. Last year he was in town but this year I really missed him. I miss being a kid during Christmas time. Everything seemed so much better and festive as a kid. I miss snow fights and snow forts. Being around the tree with my family is pretty special to me, even still as an adult. Just lots of nostalgia this year for when things were when I was young.

The best part about being an adult during Christmas time is… work parties. Rowdy times. For the Sagiper office Christmas party we went to Amore Cafe for supper. I had pasta with chicken then I had ice cream and had lots of diet coke (shots shots shots). My bearded brother Adam was away in Portugal and so I missed him and was glad he was back in time to party at the Christmas party with me. He made it home just in time. I liked being there with all my amazing co workers just chatting and hanging out. Cant say much more because what happens at the Christmas party stays at the Christmas party. Whats better than one work party? MANY! For my other job at Leading Edge we all went to central social hall for supper. There was live comedy acts and then went out for some shots and drinks. I had to cut the party short that night because I had to work my third job the next more at the deep freeze festival and be up at 5am ( it was a cold early morning). So the rowdy night had to end early.

NEW YEAR 2020 Baby

A new years goal I set myself towards is going to the gym more to stay fit and build muscles. Its a classic goal but its a good one. I celebrated the new year by going out for supper then went to the Oilers vs Rangers game. I went with my family and my girlfriend Sarah and her family.

Some highlights of 2019 were my trip to Maui, lots of music concerts, hockey games but my biggest highlight was getting a full time job at Sagiper (blog about that to come- promoting my own blog on my own blog). I love my job at Sagiper so much.

A low light of 2019 was that the Oilers didnt make the playoffs. This year though! I can smell a play off win and then onto winning the cup.

NEW Cabin- my second home

Hey all of my Guys/Girls this blog [pst is all about my NEW cabin. I talk about the construction and about the rocking fun times had out there. Its a party place. There are some awesome pictures. Lets get to it!

My new cabin is at Lac Ste Anne. I cant wait to spend more time up there. We first started construction of the cabin July 21st last summer. Its been a long wait but its almost finished the build. Excited for spending time up there with my family and friends playing games and fishing during the day having beers at night and waking up to some bacon and eggers. And waffles cant forget those. We built a cabin there because its not so far and we can go up there with people all the time.

 Its been fun building my cabin doing all that hard work to just spend more time relaxing in it when its all finished. It was good after a long day of building to sit with my parents and have supper and drinks. I did lots to build that cabin when I think back to those days getting sweaty and working hard. I sanded our kitchen table, hanging lights and fans, put shower tiles on, cutting wood for everything (lots of wood), putting floor boards in, landscaping the yard and just moving everything in the place lately. But most important my job is to make sure people were having fun. Construction is not fun unless you make it fun. My job was making everyone laugh and have fun and oh also making food to keep everyone working strong. 

The cabin has already had a couple of rowdy parties. We hosted my family and my girlfriend up there. Before we started even building the cabin it was the fun spot to be. Now is just even better with a great building to have people over. Many nights to come sitting around the campfire having junk food and drinks. 

What goes on exactly at the cabin you ask? Here is a list of all the best things we get up to at my cabin. 

1. Swimming at the lake

4. Watching movies when its too cold or rainy out (snuggle time)

5. Playing games

6. Driving up for friday night junk food

7. Having a beer and hanging out

The cabin is alsmot done now almost there. I will spend all the time I can up there. If you need me I will be there. But dont need me or you can come to the cabin and hang out with me.

Throwback: Thomas Rhett Concert

Hey my people. Its been a while since I wrote a post! Throwing it all the way back to Friday May 10th. Seams like years ago I had the funnest night with my human Thomas Rhett. 

I went to his concert with my other human Jess! We had the most fun at the concert. Everyone else at the concert whited they were as cool and as fun as we were. 

Lets recap the show and talk all about how much I love Thomas Rhett. 

First off lets list why I like him… 

1. His upbeat country songs are the best. I sing out loud to them all the time in the car (or anywhere I have access to music really)

2. His beard. I don’t need to say more

3. His hat. Again it says it all

4. He is a great guitar player

5. His ban members are great musicians and support him well

6. Stage lights and over all show performance is top notch.

7. He is just an awesome performer. The full package.

What happened at the concert? Well things got loud and rowdy. We sang our hearts out to every single song. Jess my friend from my College days at Macewan came with me. It was really the highlight to go to the concert with her. I missed hanging out with the cool human all the time. She made the show 109 times better. 

My favourite song by him is Die A Happy Man. Its just a great song to dance to. If you haven’t heard it before blast it in your house, car, or bus stop and dance to it. Get a party started. This song won song of the year so you know its a good one.

Workout BINGO

Hey my exercise people! Its time. Sun is out so its the time to get sweating like bulls. I made a fun way to work out this summer. WORK OUT BINGO. There are prizes people so keep reading.

Attached here is a photo that you can screen shot and work out to complete. I think its important to stay active to get healthy. So I created a fun way to work out this summer! This bingo was made so that we can work out together and help keep each other accountable to not be lazy. Lazy is good sometimes but these activities are more fun.
